Keepin the ball rollin.....

Conversation with 8 year old boy (I work at a school):
me: what car do you want when you grow up?
boy: yours!!!!
me: really? why do you like my car?
boy: because it's fast. but....
me: but what?
boy: but when I get mine, I'm going to do a LOT of upgrades!!!!

After explaining to kids that my car has a turbo:
-"When do you have to re-fill your turbo again?"

-"But, doesn't all-wheel drive mean you can drift better?"

My little step brother has been watching Top Gear with me lately. That's all he has been wanting to watch. Hes only 8.
A couple days ago we were driving on the highway and he sees a blue Mazda Protege with bronze Rotas and asks "is that's a Subie?" And I'm like "no, its not but they look a lot alike." 20 minutes later he points out a stock 2004 STi and he says "now I know thats a Subaru." I say, "haha sure is."
I don't know, just a kinda cool story.

One of my sisters friends was over and saw my car. He was lookin in the windows and talking about it to his friend and my sister. I came out and he is leaning up against my front fender so I came outside to rip him a new one.

Me: get off my ****ing car!
Punk: yo bro no reason to get mad.
Me: go home. (this kid drops my sister and friends off and does burnouts all the time out front my house)
Punk: why you so pissed? Afraid my integra will walk you?
Me: excuse me?
Punk: I just put a k20 in it and no one can hang with me around here. (he doesn't have a k20 just tells everyone he does)
Me: go home
Punk: ya what ever

I go back inside and he leaves a few mins later and does a brutal one wheel burnout. Sister and friends come in and just cut him up.

I hate the disrespect that so many of the young ricer kids have. Not everyone in a subaru wants to race and put ground fx on their cars

Oh and another story. I was talking to this girl...
Me-Whats your favorite kind of car?
Her-It has to be like a sports car. Like the 370z or Mustangs.
Me-Ehh, the 370z is okay but the Mustangs are mainly driven by middle aged men or cocky teenagers.
Her-Hahah yeah true. Whats your favorite?
Me-I like Subarus.
Her-Ew.
Me- *dies inside* haha whatever.

Something similar happened with my old roommate and his girlfriend. He told her to shut up and gave me props . Needless to say, they had their fair share of problems.

It's true elsewhere as well.... Over at clubwrx we seem to get a lot of the older crowd, but none-the-less... clubwrx is still having the same influx of Ken Block 15 y/o's.

Showed my friend some pictures of my car, and then in person. After the initial look through we came to an understanding. Subarus look like whales.

Friend 1: So after much thought, and seeing your Subie in person your car does look very whale-like.
Friend 2: Grey whale.
Me: That's a whale tail there on the end. I should call it the Monstro or Moby Dick.

Anyone else notice that the new rear spoilers look like a whale tail?

I'm doing what I can, but I can't drag the average age back up single-handedly.
