Wink 3rd annual PNW Subie Meet

hey gang...

just kind of putting some feelers out there - seeing how many of you are going to want to attend... last year we had nearly 100 cars and this year we are looking to double it!!

the event will be in August of this year.. likely the weekend of the 18th...

the event will be held at the ORV Sprintpark in the Montesano area...

the event will include a barbeque and a rallycross (at your own risk, not an SCCA insured event) as well as local vendors and Subie reps....

sooo???
who's gonna come? i know the PNWSEC will be there... we are 1 of the main sponsors...

SPEC? you coming? can you contact some of your local Subie Reps about this? Would they like to come?

MT, ID, CO, CA, UT subies... you are all invited... just trying to get a head count to set the entrance fee and cover food expenses...

post away all!! and thanks.. i know it's early, but we are plannin ahead to make it run as smoothly as possible!!

Oh yes I will be there!!!

I will mark this on the calendar ASAP!

I thought you said the ORV park was a car breaker? New suspension should be on by then though.

we will not be running the same course as the SCCA rally cars.. this will be a simple rallyx course... but still... you may want to think twice about bringing a stock car out there...

Sounds like fun but why isn't it SCCA? Can we get the SCCA to insure the Rally-X?

Leave the "stupid stuff" to the hatch patrol. They've beefed their hatches to take it.

If anyone doesn't know how to get there, just wait till a few weeks prior to the event. There will be info posted for caravans to the show.

ok...

full directions and such will be placed closer to the event time... we are just trying to see... are we REALLY going to have 200 cars this year??? i think we will..

for those that have not observed any of the rally events at the orv park - this is an awesome place to camp at night... play in the day... it is massive fun!!!

rallyx...
i will speak to the oregon rally group and see if indeed they think the site is "safe" enough for us to run the event... it's all about safety and if the course cannot be designed for all types of cars... it will be a no go...

ok... anyone else?
more questions?

I didn't think that we had anything scheduled for that time but I better check the calendar and make sure! If not I'm definitely down.

Jamie - there is a disturbing trend in Show appearances...

The first year, we signed up 25 cars for the event. we planned for 35 people. 23 cars and 30 people showed up.

The second year, we were planning for what, 100 vehicles and 200 people? And we got well more than that.

If you're so far expecting 200, don't be shocked if 400 show. It's been amazing what word of mouth has done for this little humble show that, two years ago, consisted of one barbecue, one sponsor, and two dozen cars.

Hey 87-XT(G),
The "Stupid Stuff"? Come on man, there has to be a better definition then that. lol
Anyway, I missed the first one and heard the stories. Made the second one and told the stories. Helped with the third and can't wait to hear the stories. It should be great. Jamie, Have you got your schedule figured? We still on for Wednesday? Give me a call Monday to confirm. Ken
