Default 02 wrx to 04 STi front end swap, help with headlight wiring

Tried to do a search but i may have sucked at it. Trying to find details in wiring the 02 wrx headlight wires to my new 04 headlights. Unforently I don't have the plugs(I'm still looking) so looks like I'm going to have to make my own. Any help with a how-to or diagram would be great. Thanks

bump

there is not a single search with clear instructions on how to do this. and how is there NOT A SINGLE website that sells a simple 9007 to H1/9005 adapter. i feel like there should be a website that you can select which plugs you want on each ends and they will make it and ship it. i know a lot of bugeye owners have this same problem with the morettes and the jdm sti headlights. its ridiculous how difficult it is to find any information on these swaps. ive been searching for hours and through TONS of threads. cant find anything.

I have searched for HOURS and cannot find a harness or any sort of instruction on how to do this. my head hurts from staring at the screen so long. all i can find is DIYs on relay installs and jdm sti bugeye installs and morette installs. and every front end swap thread i follow never explains on how they conquered swapping headlights.

as most people know, the bugeye is a Single hi/low bulb (9007) the 04/05 blobeye headlights are a dual H1(low) / 9005 (hi) combination, plus the turn signal hook ups are different. WTF where do i begin. i cannot find a 9007to H1/9005 harness anywhere nor instrustions on how to make one.

The only thing that is the same on the 03 headlights and the 04 headlights is the parking light bulb. everything else is different. i will seriously pay someone if they can make me a plug and play harness for this. i am paypal ready, somebody please help!

Bump to the top for some help, how did you get on with this?

Did you get a custom loom made or did you get info on it?

Let me know as I'm doing the same and can't find a single thread on the wiring.

I'llpay for pics and a diagram of how to do it.

MykeSTI aka Myke Metzger of 22111 Skinquarter Rd Moseley, VA 23120 is a scammer. I was unfortunate enough to trade cars with him almost a year ago, and to say the least it has been a real pain in the ass to get anything that was owed to me from the trade ever since. I traded him my modded 03 WRX for his 04 STi with a spun bearing. He lied to me about parts that came with the car being high dollar parts when they were stock or cheap parts. A cobb accessport version 2 was supposed to come with the car but he kept it for whatever reason. He told me that the stock vf39 turbo was in perfect condition, no issues at all. I pulled the engine and inspected the turbo and immediately noticed an extreme amount of shaft play in all directions. He also did not give me the radiator, the center vents, or the dual din kenwood cd/dvd/nav unit that was supposed to come with the car. He said he would get me the parts listed as soon as he could, months passed and he never sent them. I contacted him several times asking about the parts and he still acted like he was going to send them. I contacted his father numerous times and he said he would get it taken care of. Still no parts! He did include a cobb accessport version one with the car, that was completely useless to me or anyone else because the plug is ripped out of it and cannot be reinserted due to broken prongs where someone tried to force it back in. He eventually told me the he couldnt find the center vents, told me to just go buy a radiator, and that the head unit was a christmas present that he wasnt "allowed" to give to me. I talked to his old room mate and he said that he didnt even have a radiator for the car, he had one but it was from an evo. He also said that he stole the cd player and that it was not a gift at all. Upon receiving this information I contacted Myke once again and told him if he didnt have the parts, then either cash ($400) or parts equal in value were to be given to me as compensation. He agreed to give me the cobb accessport V2 that was supposed to come with the car in the first place, and after well over 6 months of getting lied to and the run around I agreed to just take the accessport as payment and then be done with everything. A couple of months passed and several ignored messages to him later and I still had no accessport. I finally had to go into his threads and publically announce that he owed me money or an accessport for him to finally send it to me (which only took about a week). The public tarnishing of his image to get what is owed to me seemed to work so this is where I am at once again. There have been a lot of details left out that would make him look worse but I am trying to cut to the chase here.

To date: I got the accessport v2 but the car I got from him has been down since I got it and is just now in the shop to be finished. With that being said, I was not able to test the accessport on the car to see if it was married to it or any other car. He told me that it was either unmarried or married to the car that I got from him, 100% for sure it was one or the other. I hooked the accessport up to a stock 04 forester xt to see if it even worked. The accessport was in fact married, but not to an 04 STi, it is married to an 07 STi. I sent him several messages and gave him several opportunities to make this right and he as avoided the subject all together and once again lied saying that he doesnt even get on the forums.

He got the BBS wheels that are on his car from "farmboss". He told me he got them for free, which is basically true, but not by honerable means at all. He was supposed to pay $100 for the wheels because they were beat to hell from an accident the car they were removed from was in. Months passed and he only payed him $50 and never gave him the rest. He also tried to sell "farmboss" the same accessport v2 that he gave me. He told farmboss that it was still married to his old car and had the nerve to tell him he wanted $500 for it, and that it is only $300 to unmarry it (its actually $395).

There are more details on everything, feel free to ask if you want anymore information. Im just trying to get what is owed to me, and warn other people about this piece of ****.
