Default Scooter adventure!

I went out to Point Roberts yesterday to pickup the springs I ordered. It was a pretty good ride, despite the fact that I headed in the wrong direction . I ended up taking the "scenic" route from Coquitlam. Anyone care to guess where on the map my first "Doh!" occured?

Oh well, at least I was able to achieve a new personal top-speed on the scoot .

I took a lot of careful measurements of the stock setup today and I'm looking foreword to getting them installed .

WOW! Need that many springs for your scooter eh?

Those RCE springs look nice - almost too nice to be hidden in the wheel well.

Remember to snap before-and-after pics. Be sure to take the after pics after you get things aligned and your suspension has a chance to settle.

LaterZ!
Darren!!

Nice springs!
Which route did you take? I followed MapQuest's instructions and got there by going through Surrey. It was a bit hard as I am not familiar with Surrey and too many traffic lights

I don't know what I was thinking. I had been to Point Roberts many times before, but somehow I got it my head that I needed to go over the Port Mann instead of going through New West . When I hit King George, I was thinking, Hmm, maybe I shoulda turned west there. When I finally turned west in White Rock, my first Doh! occured when I reached the end of the road and had to turn back north. The second Doh! happened when I realized I had circled back on to King George--hahaha!

I don't normally go through Surrey, but afterwards I realized that it's possible if I go down 152 St. like I did, but then make a right turn on Hwy 10. I usually go through New West through the tunnel and towards Tswwassen and the ferries. That's how I went back home (map).

As for going down on Fridays, yeah, I think one time I didn't have to wait much, but on another there was a big line--not as long as an hour but big. I forgot what I ordered, but I really wanted it so I didn't mind . I figure it's still better than the Peace Arch.

I heard that the RCE's don't settle much so I'm hoping to get some "after" pictures soon, maybe some night shots, too....

This may be a dumb question from a northern redneck, but where do you ship stuff in Point Roberts? Just general delivery and pick it up at the post office?

I use TSB Shipping because they have a well developed web page where I can register online. They are actually located next door to the post office. The only problem with them is that they are not open on weekends. The cost is small ($3 for receiving the 35lb springs) and all I have to do is declare it myself. I only paid GST/PST this time. It's a lot cheaper than paying brokerage fees (and I don't trust UPS and FedEx in Canada).

Yes, it's 400cc so you need Class 6. That's neat about the meet at Coquitlam Center. I live nearby. Belcarra is a nice road.
