Anyone know a good place to donate your old clothes too around the Vancouver area?

I dropped clothes off at "Triage"
707 Powell street, I believe that is at the corner of Heatley. I picked them, because they are one of the few shelters, that allow people with pets. |

There's usually drop off bins around Value Village or Salvation Army stores. You can also call them yourself and asked to be included in their next pick up schedules.

call the canadian diabetes association. bag them all up in a clear bag, leave it outside and they'll pick it up for you. i just donated 8 big bags of clothes and 3 boxes of toys and they took every single one.

For it boils down to what's convenient and what I want to support. Luckily, there's a Salvation Army and a Canadian Diabetes (CDA) drop box nearby me. But I've also had Big Brothers and Canadian Diabetes do pickups. But I try to give to CDA because I want to support them.
Value Village, however... do they support a cause? Where does their money go? Anyway, whatever you do, do NOT drop off donations after hours. There was a story on CTV last night about it and stuff that people left outside was stolen overnight. They caught a well-dressed guy in a nice car going through the clothes and grabbing furniture. The Salvation Army said those people who steal the stuff, resell it at garage sales and pocket the money themselves . |

Also be careful about big brothers
I called them once to pick up 3 garbage bags full of my old clothes They basically call me every 2 weeks now, seeing if I have more. I am not sure how fast they figure people go through clothes. I told them to call me in 6 months, but Its nonstop calls. |

Same issue here. Except once, when I did leave stuff out on the curb, they failed to pick it up for 2 days....in to the garbage it went, and they were told that the next (and thankfully last) time they called me. |

cls, we met before and we're the same age. Your clothes would do well in Covenant House in Downtown Vancouver because people there are anywhere from 15-25.
Thats where I'm donating my stuff this weekend. |
