Default Bad luck~ =.=

sigh.. guys.. someone hit and run my car while my car was parked in victoria drive, i was eating inside a chinese restaurant.. came back to my car in half an hour~ and saw this...

then i call ICBC to claim and that <ahem>lady</ahem> was being so cocky to me, and i told her when , where and what i was doing, then she checked up on my claim history report, but the thing is when i still had my wrx since 2003 those accident wasnt my fault i was 100% right, from the pervious reports and she already justify that "i dont think was right from what you told me".. i was like ... WTF~ then i hanged up and her , and went to my buddy body shop to fix the car

How much to get that fixed? My mom's old car had a small piece of paint scrubbed off in a small rear-end accident and it cost like $200 to fix because they had to paint the whole bumper or something. I was a kid back then so I couldnt tell if we were being ripped off...

$200 is cheap... especially if they do a good job. That's how much it cost to repaint my bumper.

Sorry to hear that happened. I had similar damage on mine after a hit and run last year. I didn't bother calling ICBC because I had a $300 deductible. I called Colorworks instead and they came to my house and fixed it perfectly for $150. There was no need to paint the entire bumper.

haha, they're easy to Google . Basically the damage was the same as pictured in EJ20(GDB)'s pics above, just on the other side. They buffed and polished everything out and now I can't see any difference at all--the colour match was perfect.

PM'd you. And yes, it was $150 +tax. I wanted to get it done quick so I actually met up with the guy at a car dealership he was visiting so he could look at it and give an estimate and schedule an appointment. They'll tell you whether or not they can fix it. Then they come over to your house. It was raining that day, so they had a tent and all the equipment to get the job done.

My hit and run was just like yours, except I was parked outside The Boathouse restaurant. Once you clean up the scuff marks, the damage shouldn't look as bad as first impressions. They'll buff and polish everything so that it blends in. I'm pretty picky about my car and colours and I think the colour matches perfectly. It's impossible to tell that a repair was made.

I had the impression that they don't do any paint jobs that involved metal pieces...is that correct?

is it they only work on plastic bumpers pieces?

also i want the number too... thanks a lot

I like I said, you can't tell the difference. They airbrush it so that it blends with the old paint. Because they did mine when it was raining really hard, they couldn't buff it up to make it all shiny. All I had to do was wait 1 month for the paint to cure and then I applied some wax and buffed it myself. It looks exactly the same as the rest of the car. That's the corner that it's on:

As for metal parts, I don't know. All they said is that they can't do horizontal surfaces (like the hood) because it would be harder to hide. Corners and vertical surfaces are better.
