Default Rear Bumper/License Plate/Styrofoam Showing!!

Ok,

So has anyone come up with a tasteful way of covering up the area above the license plate where the bumper covering is cut short and styrofoam is visible??? I wonder what posessed Subaru not to finish this area off, as it is clearly visible and looks tacky.

Thanks, Ben

Umm..what? I honestly don't know what you are describing. Do you have a photo to illustrate what you mean? I guess I should go look at the rear of my car and see what you're talking about...

Hmm..

Umm,

Go out and take a look at where the license plate sits in the rear bumper. You'll know what I mean.

Basically, the styrofoam that comprises the inner parts of the bumper is clearly visible above the license plate.....approx 1" x 12" wide. White in color, clear as day.

This is a US Spec car, not sure about other markets.

Default I never noticed that.....

Being Aspen White helps...either way that does look pretty dumb and unfinished. At least the car is fast :-)

Default Ah, I see!

Ok, I see what you mean now. Hmm.. I never really noticed this before, and it doesn't really bother me.

I wonder if you could paint the styrofoam with some touchup paint?

Ive noticed that and it pisses me off too. Looks totally tacky.

I thought about painting it but it would use up a lot of touch up paint.

I put the subaru ground effects on and there is a piece that you put on below the licence plate. Well, the licence plate would have overlapped that piece so I moved it up and that helped cover the styrofoam.

Well, you can get touchup paint inexpensively at:
https://ssl.autocenter.net/webparts/...Paint_179.html

It's $3.99 a bottle.

Hmm.. putting pait on those foam might melt the foam. If you do decide to paint it. Put some on an place that is not too visible and see if it melt it if it doesn't then paint the whole thing.

Yah, I thought at first that a part was missing, but my license plate frame is about twice as high on top as the one in the photo, so almost all the styrofoam is covered up by it.
How many other cars do you think will get close enough to see it?
