Post hear me out....

Hello everyone...

An insane plan has been floating around in my feeble brain and this unlikely plan was brought forward again after reading about those fake EVOs a few posts ago..

Now, here goes:

I believe it may be possible to create an evo, or a relatively close approximation that is not just a poser.

Take one 1993-1994 dodge colt..why?
because the dodge colt was a mitsu mirage clone, exactly the same except for badging. And that model mirage was the model on which the EVO III was based.
(and the mirage is not sold in western canada)

Put the EVO III bodykit from Rev on it, and you will have the Lancer Evo III as far as looks are concerned.

Now take a eagle talon turbo engine and stuff it into the colt.
As far as i know the turbo engine bolts into the earlier mitsu/dodge mirage/colt so why not in the 93-94 models

The car would unfortunately have to stay FWD since it would be a b**** to get the awd running gear fitted into the colt.

Hopefully the tranny and axles hook up also.
I'm thinking about all the honda engine swaps that go on these days..why not a mitsu/colt engine swap?

There are plenty on hop ups for the turbo engine so getting it to perform lik a slightly detuned and fwd lancer shouldn't be too hard...

or maybe i should just shut up and slap a turbo on my crx while i dream of imprezas..

You hit upon one of the most important things yourself. It will NOT have awd.

yeah, but i don't have the funds...if i did i'd just buy a subaru..
I think the talon turbo came in fwd or awd, like the eclipse gs-t (fwd) and the gsx (awd)

I am probably never gonna try this project, but i thought i'd share this with you guys. If i would post this on a honda/acura board i'd get my a** kicked for posting about DSMs

It's just my pipe dream..
