Default Off-Road Impreza Meet Video - Mud and Dirt!

I posted about this event a while ago, and thank you everyone that actually made it!

Off-Road Impreza Meet Video - Mud and Dirt!
Click here for the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xBrZCMYVCs

Over the past weekend we put on an off-road meet out in the California desert. About 18 cars met up over various locations and made the trek out to one of the "local" dry lakes in the region. Mother nature gave all of us drivers a special gift the night before... about 1/2 and inch of rain which is super rare out there. Everyone got crazy sideways in the 100 yard mud pool! Later in the day we setup a makeshift rallycross course and just did laps until the sun began to set. It was an action packed day and I hope that more people will be able to make the next one!

Aaron - Nice video dude!!!! real good job!!! The editing was dope. What did the video say when my car was plowing like a turkey through the corner? It was scrolling across the bottom of the screen, but I could not make it out.

Damn I was just 45 minutes down the road camping on a dry lakebead. God that rain made it fun tho.

Here is my story, a bit less fortunate than you guys, but still a blast.

That guy had previous suspension damage when he hit a curb. The bolt holes for the struts were no longer holes, but slots. He was in the mud and when he caught on the dirt it ripped the top strut bolt out of the slot. We got it back in, but it was a pain. Thank goodness for him and some others I never go anywhere without my toolkit.

Had a lot of fun, but I'm still cleaning mud out of places. Today was the 4th or 5th wash since being out there, and a crap load of mud still comes off when I spray the undercarriage.

yep, its free to go out there. We were just messing around on camera saying stupid stuff.

A note to everyone who went out there (especially people that braved the mud bog). Take some extra time one day and jack up the front and rear of your car to relieve the load on your springs (if you have a stock spring / strut combo). Get in there and blast out the hardened mud sitting in the bottom of the spring, these rocks and mud are robbing you of spring travel!

Its easy to get out, but i was suprised at how much was jammed down in there!

Good times everyone. People talking about next year? it probably wont even be that long, most likely after summer when the temperatures get back down to reasonable levels. We lucked out this time with perfect weather.
