Default The Subaru Ghostbusters Car

Hey everyone. I was directed here by some buds at the AWD Pirates community here in Colorado.

I own a white 2003 Outback that my friends and I have converted into a replica of the Ectomobile from Ghostbusters... so, it's a fairly strange and unique subie and I've been pressured to post about it here.

I suppose I'll just be burning time here until I can post pictures, at which point I'll make a thread with everything involvivng the car.

You generally need to give people a few minutes. I know it's annoying not being able to post pics until you have some stupid number of posts.

I'm working on it! Waiting for more "legitimate" replies.

What does that mean?

i definitely want to see this. im betting/hoping it looks a million times better than the screwed up Dodge they are using in the potential upcoming Ghostbusters video game for the Ecto.

There ya go! I'll start work on an official thread, the first post of which will be HUUUUUGE, chronicling the entire story. Further posts will detail news and events and whatnot.

Where would be a good place to put that?

Good find. That was the original car. We put 5 months into building that, and then it was hit by a semi a few days before Halloween.

Yup...That was the first time we rolled it out. No rack.. but lights and sound. Back then we were just using computer speakers hidden on the roof.

I recently rebuilt the rack (or the wooden base) and installed these babies

6-inch marine speakers and an amp to power them. It is a LOT louder, and the music is a LOT prettier.

Yup, we got that for about $30 on ebay. It works... I mean, as much as a satellite dish by itself works. If I had a reciever and all the wiring and, I guess, drove south a lot, I could technically get TV on it.
