Default will the new STI exhaust fit the GC8?

Just curious if the new STI exhaust will fit a MY 00 GC8? Or will it be close enough to just have altered slightly by muffler shop for cheap? Cause I have a really really good deal lined up for one.

The flange at the front of the center pipe is off by about 90 degrees from the WRX to the RS. The flange at the rear axle is at the right angle, but there is a large discrepancy in pipe diameter. The most cost-effective solution may be to buy just the can and have a center pipe made.

Default Thanks Captain.

so the end of the exhaust will mate up ok? just the pipe is larger?
why would that be a problem? Sorry I am not quite that understanding of the exhaust do's and don'ts yet. or could a muffler shop just cut the flange and just down size a tad and then re weld? I mean I am talking like $150 bucks for the entire exhuast is my quote from my friend trying to sell it to me... but for that cheap I can't go wrong just taking it to a muffler shop can I?

For 150$! Thats a good deal, and I am willing to be 1000$cdn (approx 1.69 USD) that a shop could help you out without a major dent on your wallet, ask around at the local shops in your area. Hope it works out, and post pics if you can.

Thumbs up ok here is the deal...

I went and saw the guy today and I matched up his Sti exhaust to my MY002.5RS and it looks like it will be a perfect match!!! I am going to be installing it tonight... So I will let everyone know if it will fit just right or not and the guy jaked the price up on me but I am still getting a killer deal for it! So I'll post in about an hour or so! TTFN! and Cheers. Oh yeah and P.S. this is the real deal STI exhaust!!!
