Default 3 hour wash, polish, wax (pics)

I never have anything nice nor good to say -- so I'll just post pics.

Busted my ass all morning to do this. Watch it rain tomorrow.

Edit: Btw -- this is my work car. I've owned it since brand new with 89,000km's on the body. I average about 80km's per day. Yay for bugeyes

My car is LAYERED with bugs, road tar, dirt, dust, and birdcrap from the trip, but those pics motivate me to clean it up when I get back.

Props to you!
What process and products did you use?
I just got myself a set of Mothers claybar, paint cleaner, sealer and wax from Crappy tire. I was all ready for it til I found out that it will be raining sometime next week

Now that is quick.
I started at noonish today, and did the spray, soap, scrub down, then claybar, buff, polish, buff, and finally waxed with orbital buffer. Windexed the windows, then rain-xed them, then did the plastic trim with meguire's plastic cleaner and conditioner. Took some time on rims and exhaust.

Altogether, it took 2 of us almost 7 hours on my car. The interior still needs to be done during the week.

How is the 5 year old paint holding up? My claybar wasn't nearly as effective as 2 years ago.

Maybe he meant the dirty one and the clean one.

How did you clean of the tiny spots of road tar? Cambie and Main St construction has covered my car with these tiny specs of tar. I use a bug & tar remover, but it's a slow process (wash car, hand rub bug & tar remove, wash car).

I rented a machine from Safeway to shampoo my interior today, looks awesome now and gets rid of any odd smells, you should dhoo it

Nice !

Did you get a chance to clean the underneath too?

Try some real paint sealant before wax. You won't believe how good paint sealant is until you see my in-law's SUV. I did it 2-3 years ago and the in-law wash car with a freaking brush. And you can still see the shine on their black color SUV.
