For a nooby like me, first track day, can someone let me know how it is laid out. Times?? things to bring?? etc.. I have been to Auto cross So I think I'll be bringing, jack, tools, fluids brake & Oil, driving gloves and helmet, gator-aid, extra water for the inter cooler, some shop towels and hand cleaner... Any thing else?? or is this to much stuff?? I just hate being some where and be like I need this or crap I can't beleive I forgot that. Oh ya tire guage.... What pressure do most STI's run for track days?? 40 front 36 rear?? Anyway thanks for any info that would help me be more pre-paired.

Yes, please keep your passenger seat in.

I've seen some people take out their spare tire. Personally, I think there's no point in lightening your car for a track day.

Let's just hope the river doesn't wash away the track.
I drove by Maple Ridge earlier and I tell you, that river, she's a risin'!

wednesday is coming up fast.
The weather looks horrible though. The rain is going to be fun for us Subie guys, but I feel for the MR cars coming out.

at least the river isn't flooding.

I have 138 pictures and about 10 minutes of video to edit.
I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done.

That said, I lost a center cap on one of my off track excursions today.
So sad, but so well worth it.

Thanks very much Geremy (6th gear) for organizing this. Driving Unlimited does run a good event.

It was interesting starting in the very slippery rain conditions, and getting a session later on when the track dried and warmed. I had a good day, managed some reasonable facsimile of heel-toe, and got praise from the instructor.

It was fun to see so many STi's and other subies in one place!

If any of you know P. Lum, with the caged Legacy (Purple colour?) and the JDM WRX swap who was at the track, he seems to have an issue with his car now....possible DOA engine.

Ha Ha seems to run in the family spin outs and going into and coming out of corners too hard. I missed yours but caught your dad's spin out, I wish I had a video camera.

Yes, Yes Geremy thanks for organizing such a good event.

It was interesting starting in the very slippery rain conditions, and getting a session later on when the track dried and warmed. I thought it was a great day of getting to know your car in both extremes. Wet and slippery and dry and fast...

I actually loved hearing all the different boxter's rumble most of all. I wish I had my video camera and get a sound clip from the 12 different Sti's and the couple of wagons.

My only complaint about the day is someone else driving my car. I wouldn't have cared but the instructor, she, kept going from 2nd to 5th . And then she wouldn't fixed it and go into 3rd so the car was shaking and shuttering and afterwards my car was having issues with shifting which I have never experianced before.. WTF I know it has a short shifter but this is supposed to be an experianced driving instructor. Don't get me wrong she did a good job on the theory part of it and explained things well, but she should know how to drive many different cars even if the have a short shifter in them...

Was it MB? (won't mention her real name, just initials)

My goodness, that's part of the reason why I kinda bailed on this event... wasn't keen on letting an instructor drive my car... but to have an instructor mess up your car??? That is totally unacceptable... I think I'll stick to PDC unless at the next event, at least half the field is "PDC green equivalent" .. level... those of you who went and are also a member of PDC, PM me with your feedback. Thanks!
