Aside from the inevitible drama, I had a great time.
The day offered wet and dry conditions and really gave an opportunity to see how the car reacts in both slick and stick conditions.

For the record, I never spun out or slid. I just dropped 2 wheels into the gravel after coming into turn 1 too hot .

My dad on the other hand learned that wet + MR + power + too much throttle = piroette

Day rocked, but I had to pull the pin early because my right rear hub bearing is finished. On hard lefts the noise was getting so bad it sounded like the wheel was coming off. There was no indication of failure until the last session.

Thanks Geremy. I had a great day. I agree that Driving Unlimited puts on a good event. I found that discussion on the braking curve informative.
As one of the MR drivers I'm proud to say I didn't loop it or go off and the last session in the dry was a blast.

I'm up for another one whenever you guys are doing it again.

Thanks to Geremy and Drining Unlimited, overall it was a great experience, tho weather wasn't so good in the morning ( first time driving my car with R048 in rain, they sucks ), but i believe most of us enjoyed the afternoon and the food was good too.

P.S. wanna say sorry to Shawn with the STi and the gentleman who drove the BosterS, i almost hit them in turn 1 and 3, i gotta put the car straight so i could gain more breaking distance, since my car has no ABS and when it locked initially, i realized u guys are rite in front of me, so i was doing the manual-ABS and try to get away from u guys, sorry again for cutting into ur racing line, and u guys did very well, got a hard time keeping up with u with my " 15-yr-old miata ", btw, u can pm me with ur contact so i can send u some video of ur driving with my in-car camcorder.

I'd like to say I am a proud member of the 180 club on that day. Turn 4 ate me up right after a short rain blast.

The day was a lot of fun. When the track dried out it was a blast...specially to drive the track without the instructors.

ahh, so that was Bleevin who spun.
I took a lot of flack for your spin just based on how similar our cars look.

tomb, your S2K sounded great at 8000 rpm. Makes me miss the days of my old Hondas.

OverRev, your Miata was probably the meanest 1.6L MX5 I've ever seen.

Who owns the WRB 04' with the big turbo and APS FMIC?
Now that car, with it's turbo sucking, EWG to atmospere, and Ti exhaust sounded like the kind of vehicle Satan himself would drive. I wish we could have taken more film of that beast.

No problem man! We all had fun, that's all it matters! As for the videos, please send them my way. I am looking forward to see myself in action. stook2003@shaw.ca or you can get them hosted on www.youtube.com . oh yea, this is Shawn by the way.

I would like to thank Jeremy and Dirving Unlimited for the great event. I must say it was the funnest thing to do on earth, I probably won't miss any of those days in future.

Thank you everybody who came out and supported our first track day of 2007 at Mission Raceway Park.

The ever changing track conditions made for an phenomenal learning experience and I hope that everyone was able to gain from the advanced driver education skills that were presented to us by "Driving Unlimited".

It was simply too much fun to do just once this year so we are now in discussions regarding further events.

Ya I liked your modded sti wing too, and that exhaust, turbo and I think external wastegate made the Sti sound like a cross wet/dry vacuum and a jet when it drove by. You made everyone that was taking classes have to sit in the first two rows so we could hear the instructor... What is that thing running at for boost and hp on the dyno???? Do have any under hood shots you wouldn't mind sharing?? I didn't have a chance to see the set-up when I was there, cause I was in group B.

Do you have any issue's with the po po with sound levels??

haha, no kidding.
I thought I heard a mild french accent, but I never put two and two together.

It was good to meet you, and your car is a killer out there. Everytime you'd pass the front straight and get on the gas, the instructor in the tent had to stop talking because he just couldn't compete with the raw sounds coming from your car. Well that, and most of us were giggling like schoolgirls as we heard those sounds.
