Default Hydra and possible draw backs?

I was talking to someone today about me getting my Hydra in the next day or two and there were a few things brought up that I would like to get more info on.

Something was said about once the base map is loaded on the HYDRA, that is the map you will always be tuning from. There is simply no erasing it, uploading a different map and moving on. That OR uploading a friends map and running his just to get the car going. Can't do it.... something as well with it being encrypted.. I don't know. Anyone have any experience with this? What is the point of having a "stand alone" if I can't do what I want with it....

Don't worry that is really not a big deal at all. Each Hydra is encrypted so your map is specific to your Hydra. We keep all the maps on record plus you should save a copy of your map on your laptop. When it's time for a new map, when you have new modifications, you can email us with your serial number and we will send you the latest map we have. Now if you think your friend's map is God's gift to the world you can use the "import" feature to copy what you need from their map

Like I said, no big deal. If that's the only complaint they can come up with I'm a happy camper

The newer Hydras 2.5+ are really nice with fast starts better software and more features. They will make your car run like butta

Thanks,
Phil
