Default SOA service bulliten, syn trans fluid/shifting

My dealer who has a great service dept.( Shaw in Thornton CO) replaced my 12k old trans fluid with Subaru synthetic after my complaint of hard to get into reverse, was covered by a service bulliten! So I got 5 qts of syn fluid installed free from SOA, thanks!

My 07 2.5i wagon is having the trouble getting into reverse also. I will get it checked when I bring it in at 3k service (free oil change). It's only at 500 miles at this point. Did the switch to synthetic fluid help?

If your having trouble getting into reverse, try this little trick...

put back into neutral and disengauge clutch then engauge it again and stick it into reverse... that usually does the trick.

i use to throw it into first and move forward about an inch or so then throw it into reverse and it always went in. all it is, is the teeth not matching...

i checked and cant find that service bulliten...

They said it would take 100-200 miles to have max effect, but shifting seems better already.
