Default TiC 5MT linkage update group buy

Group buy is now closed. Total price comes to $75.

Guys who have made the deposit - Please use this link for final payment:
http://turninconcepts10.chainreactio...roducts_id=408

************************************************** **************************************

What it does:
Replaces your stock linkage with a completely new unit. This unit also features the stiffer TiC linkage bushings.

Why you want it:
To eliminate slop from your stick that has developed over time. This development of slop is due to the wearing of the stock bushings.

Why this whole linkage update instead of just replacing the stock bushings:
The older linkage is not completely servicable. Half of it is held together with a rivet meaning that you cannot change out half the stock bushings

What it will fit:

Any Subaru 5MT from 1998-ish to 2005 that does NOT use the external centering spring (02+ guys you do NOT use that spring so no need to crawl under the car and check)

************************************************** ********

Terms for the GB:

* This is for the deposit for the GB. Final price will be determined by number of participants
* This GB will end at Noon EST on 5/29/2007
* Upon close of this GB I will put up a product so you can pay the balance of the GB price
* Products will ship as people pay the final balance
* This part is IMPORTANT: You MUST tell us your screenname in the comments box of your order so that we may add you to the list.

************************************************** ********

Pricing breakdown:

* 1-10 = $75
* 11-20 = $70
* 21+ = $65
* Shipping in the US is free. We will not ship outside the US for this GB

************************************************** ********

The list:
1 Amazake
2 LoganG1K
3 Slowsoul - paid - shipped

So is the last bit needed to replace all the bushings in the 5MT?

This is a different part than the TiC 5MT Lever Pivot Bushings? I was hoping to get all the play out of my shifter with the Lever Pivot Bushing, but it still has a whole bunch. Will this Linkage bit take care of it? Any information on installation? THANKS

Same here. I guess that I should have checked before ordering. I missed the group buy on the cowl stays, too.

This is different than the pivot bushings. I've been running the linkage update for a month now and it will clear up almost all of that extra play you have. It'll become stiffer and you'll find it doesn't really move much when you try to play with it in neutral (no more pudding).

Install was pretty easy, use a small flat head or 1/4'' punch to knock out the pin, pop in this, re-insert pin.

Thanks again to TiC for bringing us another ingenious part You're missing out if you don't have it yet!

I'm guessing this is an under car install? I looked at my kartboy lever and saw no where for this part.

Same thing happened to me.... I checked the group buy before buying my linkage and now it is on the group buy.

I bought it on Monday, and the group buy was up on Weds. Always bad timing...I"m cursed!

Hey, I've got a question.... I put a 98 LGT tranny in my car awhile ago and threres no tension in the shifter when in neutral moving it to the left. Theres normal tension going to the right, but its just loose and floppy to the left. Would this have something to do with the external spring you spoke of?? Maybe I can replace the spring? Would you happen to have a diagram of it, cause I dont know where it hooks. Thanks in advance!

You are correct - that would be the spring. I do not have a diagram, but a pic of it pops up in a number of threads on the linkage. A quick search should find them.
