Default busted radiator!?! how!?!

well a back in september 06' i got into a minor accident. looks worst than it really was.

well i got it fixed and it wasn't all bad. i got my front end repainted and side skirts painted. also got black housing headlights which were cheaper than from the dealer. btw those are photoshop-spec lowering springs

well its been like 9-10 months since i got my front end repaired. new radiator/ac condenser etc. but today when i went to school, the radiator started leaking. how does a new radiator leak? good thing i forgot one of my books and drove back around the block before i overheated somewhere. how does something like this happen? i put a screen in front of my lower airdam/grill to protect radiator/condenser from rocks/bugs etc. also i don't really do any hard driving. just everyday school/work so i dont see how it can get busted.

you can see that the metal tabs holding on to the plastic section has been pushed away.

below you can see the section where the radiator is still ok. the metal tabs are right up against the edge of the plastic.

well i went through the insurance papers from when i had my accident. the parts are suppose to be warrantied for 1 year. so how do you think this will turn out guys? if they pay for the part, would they allow me to install it myself... cause i kinda need a ride to HIN this weekend in philly... plus i don't trust dealerships wokring on my car anymore. you guys think theres possibility for upgrade?..koyo?...think insurance will be willing to pay for watever the oem is and i pay the difference? well dam it sucks to not drive my car, it's one of those things i gotta do everyday, it's my drug

I am pretty sure Koyo is cheaper than OEM. I got one installed on my car when I hit a deer.

haha no way, not calling you a ricer... that sucks about the radiator, probably just an error in the manufactoring process... maintaining these vehicles is a project in itself
