Default Mountain Trials Rally - June 16th - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED **UPDATED**

***EDIT - The WCRA is going to be giving away a volunteer prize. One volunteer who signs up in advance of MTR is going to walk away with a Gift Certificate for 2 nights cabin rental, and a motorboat for 1 day courtesy of Roche Lake Resort. www.RocheLake.com***

Hey guys,

Mountain Trials rally, part of the West Coast Rally Championship is coming up. As always, we can use some more volunteers. You get your room paid for (with 4 sharing), and get to see the cars from right up close.

This would be a good NASIOC mini-meet.

I am not the volunteer co-ordinator, but the contact info and worker registration is all below. Hope to see you guys there. This is your chance to see some real rally cars.

Shawn

Hello Fellow Rally Enthusiast,

You are receiving this email because you have previously worked at a
performance rally in BC or have shown interest in supporting rally
events. This open correspondence is an opportunity to reconnect with the
fun of rallying and immediately volunteer for the next performance rally
event taking place here in beautiful BC.

The well-known Mountain Trials Rally is once again coming to Merritt on
Saturday, June 16, 2007. This will be a great time to work with the same
experienced crew of organizers that have brought you other events like
Thunderbird, Totem and our Canadian Rally Championship event: the
Pacific Forest Rally.

The Province Newspaper credited last year's seasonal event as "A blast
whether you watched from the safety of the sidelines, or were at the
wheel of one of the cars" and the organizers are looking forward to
continuing that tradition again this year.

Volunteering now means guaranteed live action and interaction with the
people and the cars. In thanks for extending your time, the West Coast
Rally Association (WCRA) will be happy to cover the cost of two nights
accommodation in Merritt with four people sharing a room or one night's
accommodation with two people sharing a room. Alternatively, for those
who prefer to book two in a room and to stay for two nights, WCRA can
offer to reimburse half of the hotel cost.

You can email us at volunteer@rallybc.com with any questions, comments
or concerns.

To volunteer now, please take a few moments to fill out our worker
questionnaire at:

http://www.rallybc.com/wcra/sss/survey.php

Rest assured that ensuring a great future for rallying in BC requires
all sorts of volunteers and we welcome both experienced and new workers
alike. By immediately completing our worker questionnaire, you can make
a big difference to the ongoing success of rallying in BC.

For many years now rallying has offered great experiences for both
family and friends alike. Please take a moment now to consider asking a
friend or family member to join us at the 2007 Mountain Trials Rally.

I look forward to seeing you all at Mountain Trials on June 15 or 16 and
again, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In the meantime, you can also keep up-to-date with what's happening in
rallying by checking out the event web site at:

http://www.rallybc.com/MtTrials/2007...ain_trials.htm

Warmest Regards,

Leigh-Ann Matthews

I highly recommend volunteering for these rally events. There is nothing more rewarding than helping build a sport at the grassroots level. Unfortunately I won't be attending the Rocky Mtn rally or PFR this year.

I am not sure if anyone from here has signed up yet, but I'm sure some will.
We usually get a hand full of NASIOC'ers at the event helping us out though.

Merritt is about 2.5-3hrs from Vancouver on Hwy 1 to hope, and then hwy 5.
REAL easy to get to.
Once you are they, they will give you all the maps and info, and whatever you need.

Contact the volunteer coordinator about your room. You will be sharing so make sure to say that you want a smoking room.

PS. There's a lot of socializing at any rally event. Don't expect to spend too much time in the room while awake.

HAving been there and done that, I suggest everybody do this at least once in their life, it's definetly a great experience, especially if it's nice out and not raining all day .
