Default After 20 years, its all over...

20 years of education and I'm pretty sure I just took my last final ever... has not really sunk in yet. I guess I still have one big test this summer called "the Bar exam" but after that its over. So much of my life has been in school its weird.

At least I get to party for a week before Bar prep starts then two months of hell followed by two months of waiting for results. Then numerous years of ball busting work. YA

At least now I can say I'm a doctor of the law.

Congratulations. Law school is hard work, or so I am told by my friends in law school.

Just think about it, in a few months you will be able to buy a lot of fun things like cars and expensive watches or whatever you desire from your well paying job.

Its just a shame you wont get to enjoy them because of your 80 hour work week.

I think its mainly the fact that I don't know what to think right now.

silly kid, sold his soul for an 80 hour work week and a measly $150k a year. I would suggest you pull the trigger now, I will stand behind you.

Now you get your ass to work and have to pull in a minimum of 50 billable hours/week.

Tell your friends, "Now it's Phathead, Esquire!"

Good luck on the bar exam! Do you have a job lined up?

oh yeah and dont go into malpractice law please or ill hunt you down and kill you.

no seriously, slow death.

The sad thing is my real name is official sounding enough without it because I'm already a 4th.

The Florida Supreme court held that whatever your law school prints on your diploma you can be called. So if they do put Doctor of Law I could technically be Dr. Phathead J.D. Esq.

I loved the logic games too, I'm an analytical minded guy. Not every day you see someone with a Chemistry, Math and Physics undergrad degree go to Law School.

No definite job lined up but I want to work public sector (either city or state) for a number of years to get killer experience. Also have a likely offer at a 1500+ atty firm that would be great but a lot of hours.

Yeah - it's a deal with the devil. Today's actually my last day at a 800 atty firm -- the money was great -- but I'm headed in-house to save my sanity.
