Default Dear UPS, What the F*** is a "DESTINATION SCAN" and where the crap is my package

Ups can go eat a turd on a hotdog bun:

Code:
 MOUNT OLIVE,
NJ, US 05/10/2007 9:15 P.M. DESTINATION SCAN
	        05/10/2007 5:28 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY
	        05/10/2007 3:48 A.M. ARRIVAL SCAN
SECAUCUS,
NJ, US 05/10/2007 2:07 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
I take it as you have no idea where my package is, which is why you don't define the term "destination scan" anywhere on your site.

Once again, go choke on a f-in donkey!!!

Yeah, it's pretty simple there Sausage boy.
It arrived at said location: Destination scan.
Arrival scan: is most likely when it got to the sort area.

My worst one was vis USPS:

Shipped from California.
Arrived Denver next day.
Left Denver for Florida.
Sat in Florida for 10 days
Came back to Denver where it was finally delivered to my house.

Notice anything wrong with that route?

Looks like it was loaded and out for delivery to you on 5/10, and returned back to the destination terminal (Mt Olive) later that night after not being delivered to you for one reason or another.

Call them, and find out whats going on with it today.

Bah...you can never trust UPS tracking...hardly makes sense.

I had a customer send me an envelope overnight a few weeks ago. I was out of the office for a few days, and when I got back, I tracked the package.

In reality, the package left something like Apr 20th, but according to the tracking, it was shipped out in March, and DELIVERED on Apr 1st. Not only that, but it was a completely different address (my old address..which I havent used in 2 years).

I called UPS, and they said it was a "recycled tracking number" and that my package was to be delivered on that day. Sure enough, it showed up...but that tracking number made ZERO sense!

See I'd understand if the "destination scan" was before it went out for delivery.

BUT

It went out for delivery yesterday and I never got it. Then later that night it shows a "departure scan" which to me looks like the package went backwards...

The departure scan time and date is from the Secaucus terminal, before it arrived to the Mt Olive terminal later that morning

I used to work for UPS as a load/sort/unload sup. I can shed some light on this.

Destination scan is supposed to mean the item has been delivered. If you don't have it you best be calling them to figure out where it is.

As far as the train thing, that's comical as UPS does not use trains to transport packages. No idea why that would be on there.

Helpfull hints when using UPS:

1. NEVER write fragile on a box. That's asking for something to get broken.
2. Always use the 6 strip tape method
3. If you are shipped something and want it there next day and the destination is within 400 miles of the departure point, don't use next day or second day air. They will ship it ground, but charge you air pricing.
4. UPS by definition is more reliable than Fedex ground. Most people don't know that Fedex ground drivers are contract employees. There is no policy at Fedex that says all packages in the truck must be dropped off that day.
5. UPS makes no left turns (seriously, but I don't know how that helps you. saved them like a billion dollars though)

Wrong, wrong, wrong. If a package is brought back, it counts against the driver's service. And if the driver's service isn't at a certain level, they lose out on a couple hundred dollar bonus every month. Believe me, those contractors are much more accountable than the union slobs UPS uses.
