18's on a 04 how wide and low can I go ???

Since finishing my 240 and slapping on 10.5 all the way around I look at my stock 04 sti and feel bad for it. I know I can't go stupid wide without a widebody but how big can i go with rolled front and rear fenders I want to go with a 18 inch wheel and a low enough offset to get it flush. And what kinda of suspension would be ideal to run with the suggestions ya'll through out. Pics would kick ass to if ya'll have them.

I'm going to be mounting Falken 255/35/18s on 18x8.5 48ET Advan RGIIs in about 4 weeks. I've got an '04 STi with rolled fenders, and this is about maximum width. I'm going to be running JDM pinks, and eventually Ohlins fixed perch struts with them. Good luck with your decision.

depending how low you drop your car, its probably ideal to go no further than 235's.

i have an 04 with 245/40/18 on 18x8.5 48offset lowered on tein supersports. it rubs when i had the suspension really low, and have had to raise the car to get rid of the rubbing. the rubbing was happening INSIDE the fender liner, hitting the metal frame. rolling fenders didn't matter, it was hitting the other side.

thats the lowest it'll go without rubbing.

You've got a few issues that caused rubbing. First; the teins lower your car significantly over stock. Second; 245/40/18's are 3/4" taller than the stock tire. The 255/35/18's are the same as stock, and if you're going with only a moderate drop, you'll likely be fine after a fender roll.
