Additional information

Last August the car was in a wreck with cosmetic only damage. No frame damage occurred and the airbags didn't go off. The front bumper, hood, grill, passenger headlight, and fender were all replaced and repainted by McRee Subaru. Clean CarFax, I'll scan it if you don't want to waste $20. The oil has been changed @ less than every 3k miles, all service receipts are available. Waxed every other month. It has never seen the track, either. It's been babied since day 1. But it's time to get something new.

Mods:

-Turbo XS Turboback Exhaust w/ Hi-Flow Cat, 4" downpipe, RFL-Titanium Tip

-Kartboy Short-Shifter and Bushings

-Tein Flex Coilovers

-Pioneer Head unit (P6800MP) w/ Ipod Adapter mounted in Glovebox

-Polk Door Speakers

Tons of pictures, more pics available on request!!!

thanks

good price, gl on the sale, i ended up just selling mine to carmax, give it a try, there's actually a high demand for sti's at carmax. gave me a decent deal and it was an easy, smooth transaction.

If you dont mind TRKbeast, would you mind PM'm me with what year STI you sold carmax and what they gave for you. I keep toying with the idea to get a lower payment so I can buy a house.

I can see why carmax is in demand for STI's they would offer him 23,500 for a 33,500 car that is less than a year old and has only 10k. that is f'ed up, the car is worth more than that. and don't give me the ole "the car is "worth" what it brings"

you'd be surprised how the resale value of an STI or any subaru has fallen. subaru IMO does not hold up in resale value. carmax quotes wholesale prices, so they can turnaround and sell that car for $27K-28K, b/c thats how much its probably worth, probably less. another problem with subaru is, they revamp their model lineup every 2 years. most manufacturers do that every 4-5 years.

i sold my STI beginning of the year to carmax for $25K, no mods, nothing, but I only had like 9K miles. they turned around and sold it for $27995. your mods mean 0 to carmax or any dealership. i took all my mods off, sold it, and sold the car to carmax.

i dont pay attention to KBB. in fact, before i sold it to carmax, i got offered $2,000 less at the acura dealership on my STI. i've taken my Tribeca to carmax last weekend, gave me $2000 more than the dealership would.

Yeah it's all a numbers game. I got $25,500 for an 04 sti in 05 stock with 19k miles. I can tell you the 06-07 will be worth more compared to the ugly 08!

you think so? i always think that anytime a new model comes out, the older year will depreciate.

anyhow, good luck on the sale!

yeah and a year later, subaru can't keep any used 06/07's on the lot and can't sell any 08's!

my 06 STi was on the lot for 3 whole days and sold for $27,999 you can't go wrong with a 06 wrx even... with the 2.5L add a few mods it'll hang with an sti. if i had $20k and was in the market for a wrx or sti i'd snag biker921s car. it's built and ready to go.

(i'm assuming this car has sold, hence the lame threadjack )
