Default Dell Laptop FS-$1000 OBO

Dell E1705:
Got it just before Easter 06
Core Duo 1.83 ghz processor
1 gig ram
17" WUXGA true life
blue tooth 350
Intel 3945 Wireless
DVDRW/CDRW
9 Cell Battery
ATI Mobility X1400-256 meg Graphics Card
3 Year service plan
80 Gig 5400 rpm HD
I think those were all the options I got, pretty much maxed it out.
Other stuff-
6 USB ports
1 Firewire
DVI Output
VGA output
Media Card reader
I will do a fresh install of XP MCE. I will also install if desired: NHC, i9kfangui, CCleaner, all current drivers, firefox, Adobe 7.0, java, and any other software like the previous that is desired. There are no dead pixels or any other issues with the laptop. This laptop is awesome, but since I am a pilot it is way to large to travel with easily(looking to get a 12" Dell or Apple Mac Book). There are no blemishes except for one small scratch on the left palm wrest I think was caused by my watch. This laptop never leaves my desk. This thing never freezes and has no issues at all. I paid almost $1800 less than a year ago for everything. Would like to get 1000 or so for the laptop. Will post pics soon. I had some but they are gone. Will ship anywhere or you can pick it up in Houston or I can deliver to almost anywhere else in TX with a little notice(as long as continental flies in to your local airport).

I've been doing Mac support for quite some time and know all there is to know about the Macbook and MacBook Pro. If you're planning on running windows on it you might want to wait a bit till OS 10.5 comes out.

Keep me posted. Like i said if you dont want to do a partial trade then i can likely negotiate a cash price. I'd just rather trade than have to hastle with ebay or forums to sell mine.

Yea, post or PM me the specs on your laptop and when I get home late tonight ill post up some pics of my laptop. I dont really plan on running windows on the apple just for the fact that what I do on the computer(internet, email, a little photo editing, music) I dont really need windows and all its bugs and virus's. My laptop has been flawless, but is just a little to large for me to carry on the road.

sorry i just saw this when i got in today.

My lappy is a Dell Inspiron 5160.

P4 3.2ghz CPU with HyperThreading
1gb pc2700 DDR
100gb HDD
15" UXGA Screen (1600 x 1400)
Nvidia FX5600 with 64mb dedicated.
CDRW/DVD Combo Drive.
Onboard Broadcom 802.11g wireless.

The battery holds a charge fine. the only problem with the laptop is a minor cosmetic defect on the screen. It's hard to explain. you cant see it when the laptop is on. Basically the whole screen has a matte finish, but there is one shiny line on the furface which i couldnt buff off gently and i didnt want to force it. I was looking to get a laptop with a better video card so i could game with it.

Let me know if you're interested.

Thats a bit old unless you were thinking you could throw in like 500 to 600 bucks. On ebay they are going for about 400 to 500 bucks, that was the only place I could find any for sale. I would only turn around and sell it since its not what I really want.

Never said the video card was alot better, but a current gen 17" wide screen laptop vs. an older gen non-widescreen 15" laptop is the comparison. The 1705 can be upgraded as far as the 512 Meg Invida Go 7900 video card which is a pretty beefy vid card.

Its the regular core duo. I think(I may be wrong) the major difference is the core 2 duo can use DDR2 memory, making it perform a bit better. I will throw in a laptop bag that fits the laptop perfectly, Call of Duty 2, and Battlefield 2.
