It all depends on what you want and how much you want to spend...

You can range in price from $500 to $1200 depending on quality and performance characteristics.

Lots of people have all different brands on their car... I myself have the BFGoodrich g-force KDW's... they'll cost you around $1000. They're very comparable to the Toyo t1-s proxes.

A cheaper tire would be some Yoko's A520. They're sticky but don't last and they're not that great in the wet...

Some people are talking about the Kuhmo Esta 712 (how good they are) and the price is reasonable to...

Check out tirerack.com They have a good summary and test and surveys on most tires...

personally i am using T1S on my Civic H/B which has no ABS....my car never lock up so far (i have been using since end of Feb, about 7k had been driven)....
i drive it pretty damn hard and compare to A520, XGT V4 (both are borrowed from my friend's Integra GSR) , FZ4 (Integra GS) , W10 (Civic Si) and also the SP9000 (Civic SiR)....even Advan 032R (Civic Si)....i think T1S and SP9000 are pretty comparable....yet SP9000 is more expensive.....032R is the best on dry but it's slick on wet....and it worns out pretty damn fast
all the others are just garbage.....

The Kuhmu 712 Z rated tire is the cheapest ultra performance tire you can get. You can get these locally for the same price as tirerack.com from OK Tire.

I just got a set of Dunlop 8000's and they are great! I didn't really price them against the Kumho's which I heard were a good bang for the buck but all the reviews I've heard about the Dunlops were good and it didn't hurt that a friend of mine could get it for me cheap!

If you want something that's good in the rain as well as in the dry that actually has a decent tire life, check out the Falken GRB RS Tune II's or the GRB-FK451. They are really sweet! I have the FK-451's on my Legacy L (205/50/16) has a UTQG rating of 280AAA for my Legacy GT I have the GRB RS Tune II's (215/40/17) and they stick! No hydroplaning whatsoever (I was doing about 160km/h while in a heavy heavy downpour) UTQG rating of 200AAA.

Just thought I'd let ya know!
