Default Does COBB for the 07 deals with the OL/CL delay issue?

I hava a 2007 Sti that was dynoed and the tunner told my that some detonation could be happening during the famous OL/CL delay.

So I bought a knocklite and installed it, I am running the best gas around 91 and the knocklite is going off with slight (amgber light) at WOT in 3rd and 4th gear @ around 3000 to 4000 rpms. I tried mixing the 91 with 104 to make around 98 octane gas as per formula and the detonation was gone. You can not hear the detonation happening but the Knocklite goes off.

I know that the OL/CL delay could be addressed with a protune but I dont have the $$ for protune now. Would the AP of the shelf maps fix the OL/CL delay for now going Stg. II with Ca 91 maps????

BTW can someone explain what exactly is the OL/CL delay?? I understand the is the car taking too long to switch to rich and remains lean for too long.

Am I correct???

I second those questions.... Im running the AP stage 1 91 Oct and it seems to be working fine and fixed the hesitation problem.... at least the noticable part.

However it is my understanding that the Ap doesn't really fix the OL/CL transition problem or some of the pedal-throttle response or lack there of on the 07s.

Gabedude may be able to help you out more with information but he works for Enginuity and competes with Cobb so might not care to elaborate on Cobbs products... but he knows his Sh^t and I have heard a lot of good stuff about his 07 map.. I might have to switch.

There's no competition between Cobb and Enginuity. No one works for Enginuity - it is an open source project where users volunteer, for free, their time and knowledge. It is not a product that is sold - it is free. That said, I have no doubt that Cobb has fixed the CL\OL transition delay issues present in the stock rom. It is easy to fix and Cobb knows their stuff.

Message Christian from Cobb. He's a really nice guy and always seems to answer my questions pretty quick and thouroughly. He's floating around these boards. Don't jump the boat yet.
