Default FS: MD, 1995 Impreza GF8, EJ20G swap

(The car now runs fine, so please read to the end. I'm preserving the original post so that people are aware of the history of the car.)

It seems that my baby has finally kicked the bucket. Won't start, 40 psi compression in one of the cylinders. I'd like to sell it as is to someone who has the resources and the time to make it run again or use it for parts. Here's what it is:

'95 Impreza L wagon, 190kmi on the chassis, car was bought new by my dad, have all maintenance records since new. Color: Crimson Pearl Metallic (dark red)
'97 JDM WRX GF8 swap done at ~184kmi
-EJ20G
-5-speed (car originally an automatic)
-Rear LSD, 4.11
-86kmi on new engine at time of swap
-Swap was done at Andrewtech Automotive, they did a great job, really clean. Wiring was done by me.
STi TBE (from an '04 I believe)
New WRX clutch
STi fuel pump (either '04 or '05)
Front brakes from 2000 RS, Axxis ULT pads
Rear discs from '92 Legacy, Axxis Deluxe Plus pads
Goodridge stainless steel brake lines
20mm RSB from WRX sedan
16" WRX wheels with Sumitomo HTR+ (high-performance all season)
Version 2 aluminum hood
Recently replaced rear wheel bearings, have a set of new front bearings as well.
A/C had to be scrapped due to fitment issues (hey, I'd rather have more power)

At the time of the swap, compression and leak down testing results were great, the engine was good. Injectors were cleaned and tested to be very consistent as well. Car drove great for ~7 months after the swap, pulled strong and showed no signs of failure.
I'll pull the VIN number when I get home, but it's the last year of the EJ20G. It's a rare engine becase the ECU is an updated 3-plug version used on the EJ20K - I used V3/4 EJ20K diagrams when doing the wiring. According to the VIN it's an EJ20G.
It's really a great project car that I was hoping to build up over time, but I don't have a garage or the right tools to fix it.
It needs a new shortblock, which I can help you source. If you have any questions, please ask, I'd really like to find someone who can put new life into this car.

The post above is the original one, now I have the car back and it runs!

I was told that the engine was flooded, once it was cleaned the car started up fine and runs as good as it did before. It is not clear why the engine was flooded in the first place. The mechanic who looked at it suggested that maybe because of a faulty temperature sensor the ECU is sending a signal to pump more fuel into the engine. However, the engine never flooded during the winter and it started fine this morning after sitting overnight, which indicates that even if the temperature sensor is bad, it is not consistently bad.
In any case, even though the car runs, I'd still like to sell it because I live in an apartment with no garage or tools and working on the car in these conditions is just not fun. I'd rather wait until I have a decent place of my own before undertaking such a time-consuming and expensive hobby. I'll miss this car, but it deserves a better home (are you guys crying yet?)
Had to keep it at work overnight, but will definitely have picture tonight. Test drives/inspections are also welcome if you are nearby. As far as price goes, I'm looking for around $6500.

MORE INFO

Some additional stuff about the car that I forgot to put up before:

- Small fender bender in a parking lot two years ago. Repaired and resprayed the front left door, that's why it looks newer. Damage was minimal.
- The temperature gauge is maxed out. Other people with similar swaps had this problem. I have a couple of ideas about how to fix it and will probably try to do it, as it shouldn't be difficult. Checked the temperature of the engine when it's hot with an infrared temp gauge - ~220F, which is normal.
- The airbag light is on. I pulled the codes and they are 14 and 22 (I believe), which indicates a bad connection to the passenger side inflator and possibly a bad airbag module. The airbag system and wiring is stock, so I suspect I screwed something up when I took off the dash to install the wiring. Not planning to fix this as it'll involve taking off the dash, which is a PITA.
- Rear windshield wiper is not working. Bad motor or relay, I might try to fix this.
- The car is 12 years old, so you have the dings and scratches that come with age. You can see them in the pictures.

I am getting another compression test done just to make sure that the engine is ok.

UPDATE:
Teperature gauge fixed, stays rock-steady right in the middle. Problem - gauge was not grounded (I feel stupid...)
Installed Lamco (OEM) boost gauge on steering column. Peak boost reaches ~10-11 psi. Will post pics shortly.

UPDATE:
Airbag light fixed. Problem - faulty SRS control module and green tab not pushed in all the way on one of the connectors. Argh. Replaced the SRS module with one from '98 RS, everything is good, light went away.

V2 aluminum hood installed. It is now silver. Who cares. Saved 15 lbs.
