Default Front Emblem

I looked in the de-badging thread, but i didn' t see this covered.... how do people go about changing the front emblem? (ie: pulling off the blue stars, sticking on a Pink i) Most of the aftermarket emblems say they stick on with 3M tape... is this how the OEM is stuck on as well? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Use a heat gun (or blow dryer on a hot day) to heat up the emblem then slowly pry it off with a small/thin flat head screw driver. And yes the 3M tape is the best to get the new emblem on.

You are talking about the rear one right? Cause the front emblem is the same as the 04-05.

i have an 07' STi...i bought a black "i" badge for my front grille off ebay for like $10...oh and the stock one is stuck on with thick double sided tape just like the other badges

Took like 5 mins to put on..only a flat head screw driver to get the stock one off was nessasary, and also a small philips head if u decide to take the grille apart like me...

Take off the middle grille piece (2 clips) and yank off, takes like 20 seconds

i took the grill apart (like 10 or so lil screws) not sure if it was nessasary but at the time i did it so it musta made it easier to get the stock badge off..

After that i just got a thin small flat head scrtew driver and pryed the stock one off...

Next, stick the new badge in place and your done...The "i" badge off ebay needs a lil extra 3m tape for the center since the shape curves in a lil, compared to the flat stock one...other than that it fits like a charm and was the easyest mod i ever done

^^^ Exactly, no need to dremel...the badge just sits on top of the chrome outline rather than within it.
