Thumbs up Mountain Trial (Cache Creek, BC) rally report

my first time watched and worked at a rally event - The Mountain Trial at Cache Creek, BC.

Although there were only 9 cars running, I can say it's still way lots of fun!! Going uphill for 1 stage, down hill for 1 stage, and do it over to make it a 4 stages event. The course is quite tight, and when I was driving up to my control area, I almost spun the RS at one of the hairpin. Unfortunatly Pat was not running, but he still drove as Car 0 at rally speed.

Few of them going through a corner in and out the ditch. A MR2 probably hit something undernealth, broke his muffler and it fly up in the air, and when he drove downhill at the speed of about 120km/h, it's roof fly right off! A Civic ran around a corner with only the front wheel on the ground, it probably hit the rear on the bank!

It's really worth almost 4 hours driving from Vancouver. For those who missed it, there'll be another one at the same place but with more stages, longer route on Spet 23. As long as I've got the photos done, I'll try to scan and put them up on the net.

Fred
