Question about to purchace a rs

Well I am about to purchase a impreza rs 2002 because I can't find a good cheap used one in the midwest (chicago/evanston). So I am wondering what I should get in it.
Is the upgraded sound system worth paying for...is it actually a good system.
Are the fog lights worth the cash to add on?
upgraded security system? or should I go with an aftermarket one?
Any other suggestions when I am going to buy it?
I am also being forced to get automatic due to personal issues, so what can i do to give it a more sporty feel? -Thanks

edit: lookin back. I look like a tard...

Dr.Nick - You'll love it.
Wheel and deal on it... don't pay more than a couple hundred over invoice..
I would stay away from factory options, unless you need to roll them into the loan.
In my opinion the factory upgraded stereo is garbage. If you don't care if you feel like you are at the concert, it's fine. I like to feel my music and listen to it at 70mph with the windows down, so the factory stuff won't work. (I know you're looking at an '02, but there isn't much of a difference)
Don't get the factory alarm upgrade. Or the keyless (if you can avoid it). Go with a quality aftermarket unit. Aftermarket will allow you to do different things that a stock one won't. Remote-start, for example. I've heard it gets cold in the mid west during winter... hit the remote start from your kitchen and let it warm up before you venture out.
Fog lights? I wouldn't.... I'd put a set of Hella 500s ($75) or PIAA pro 80xt (more) in instead. They'll work better and you can choose fog or driving. Probably get the Kartboy mounts (if they work for '02)
Increasing the fun-to-drive quotient is pretty easy... get yourself a beefy rear sway bar. There's a ton of stuff to do, but I think that one thing makes the biggest difference for the dollar.

UPDATE****
I just bought a silver 2002rs with only option I was forced to get, was the spoiler.
The cost was $19,487, which was a hundred over dealerinvoice. Now if someone can give me suggestions on a good foglight to get, that a stupid person can install, and if there is anyway for me to make my auto a little more sporty?
thankyou guys for all your help and suggestions...

edit: my english was even bad back then

Some good tires, a 20mm rear swaybar, an intake, and an exhaust will make it sporty

Hey Doctor,

get to know your AT real well. You can have a whole lot of fun with it if you concentrate on learning the way it shifts depending on your input. It will shift gears depending on where the pedal is, with the floor meaning red-line-all-gears and it will also enter a "power mode" when the accelerator is applied very briskly. This mode simply keeps the tranny from immediately up shifting when you let off the gas pedal. But the action of the gas pedal always has to be fast in order to keep it in this mode. Go break in your engine and then experiment (safely of course)!

At you service

I like putting the auto in 3 when driving around town. Shifts close to redline. Eats a lot of gas though.

I don't know why any of the other guys haven't seen your post yet, but come over to the MidWest forum. Lots of Chicago area guys and a few in the Evanston area as well. A few have even swapped out their stock fogs and it is even money that the old fogs should fit the new RS/WRX.

And congrats on your new RS. I'm assuming you bought it at Evanston Subaru.

oh yeah...Evanston Subaru...we have bought 3 from them over our 11 year stay in Evanston...they have been great to us. (I live a block away) and well when walking from the videostore I usually walk right by the dealership and well they even have the courtesy to say hello and ask how we are doing....they are a great group of guys...
