I'm planning on buying some cosmetics for my car...
mainly the STi Rear cluster lights (the red and clear ones) and the side markers... how much would they cost normally in Canada.. oh... and the clear corners too!

I suggest you wait until Keiho has his car inspected. If he has to remove his set, you could buy some from him cheap. Check the recent posts about Keiho being given a ticket.

Hehehe...sorry..but even if I have to take them off, they're going back on the car as soon as my car is "ok"
![]() Bavaria can get the rear clusters for about $500 I think? Corners are about 100 something? |

Those clear clusters have to be legal. Just look at the new Hondas and VW's. They come stock with clear lights. As long as the bulb is amber you should be OK!!!

You don't know that yet. Do you have amber bulbs. Personally, I think there are so many illegal parts on cars out there, especially in Richmond, that maybe the cop assumed the same about your car.

A local dealership (Ogilvie) has rear clusters for sale for less than $300, and clear front corners for less than $100 (if I remember correctly). Side markers will be coming in for approx $40... all are legal as long as you have amber bulbs (at least in ON!)

So where is this dealership? And are they quality parts?? Most places on the web are selling them for $100US and up!! Are you sure they aren't cheap taiwanese knock-offs? I live in Seattle, btw, but go up to van, all the time...

Momo: Dealership is in Ottawa (Ontario)... a bit of a drive from Seattle. Although I have had a close inspection of them, I was assured that they are genuine Subaru. (I don't think any established dealer would take a chance by selling knock-offs!)
I'll check tonight and will have some better info for tomorrow. K. |

Boy is my face red.
Okay, story is as such: I double checked with Ogilvie (by phone) and found that rear corners are $225 EACH, and clear fronts are $85 for one side, $67 for the other side (don't ask me why.) Side markers are $24 each. I was sure I had heard better prices from another dealership; I've been in touch and they will be getting back to me tonight. Sorry for the misunderstanding... guess that's what happens when you don't read the fine print. I'll keep you all posted. Cheers, K. |
