Exclamation A couple general question about Subaru and i-club.

I'm about to unveil something I've been working on for a while but need a couple of questions answered first.

1) What day could the new WRX officially be picked up by the customer in the US?

2) What day did the i-club change it's domain from impreza-rs.com to i-club.com

3)When could people start placing orders for the new WRX?

I need your help answering these fast. Thanks!

Eric

It changed its name cause Impreza-RS would imply the 2.5RS exists... and since many WRX owners dont even know it exists, its better off as I-Clubs.

But then again not many WRX owners know that the I stands for Impreza and that the WRX is an Impreza.. so who knows...

[budweiser commercial] True. True. [/budweiser commercial]

Remamber that thread about a race-modified GC8 that had extensions for wider tires? A few WRX owners thought it was a VOLVO!

It MAY be the truth for SOME WRX owners, but making a blanket statement like that is just ignorant and imflammatory.

I drive a WRX, but it's my THIRD Subaru and my second Impreza. I see you drive a 2002 RS, so you're on the bandwagon as well. I bet I've been driving Imprezas since defore you knew what one was.

Now grow up and get over it, please.

I bet Not.

I have been a subie fiend since I first rode in a XT6 back in 1987 or 1988. I was only 13 at the time so I obviously couldnt buy my own. I had to wait till I could afford to buy one... sorta funny how that age/money thing works out eh? Dont you call me a bandwagon jumper just cause the only subie I could buy new was a 2002... If they still have the MY01 Coupe, I woulda been in that.

and yes many WRX owners are not as dumb as I said.. .but many are. If you are not in that group, then please ignore it.

If you know that your WRX is made by subaru, and is an Impreza you are way ahead of the pack compared to some of the newer WRX owners.

Well since I was DRIVING a Subaru in 1985 I gotcha beat

ANd while it's true that some new WRX owners are kinda ignorant about the History of the Impreza, Saying that they don't know it's a Subaru is a bit of a stretch.

Please drive through to the window.

I can't believe people wouldn't know that the WRX was an Impreza but in retrospect I can see where your coming from. but that is the beauty of this board, educating those that don't know. I've learned so much and continue to learn everyday. I'd be lost without this place. That said I still don't know too much about the old school Impreza.

Yeh I know that saying they dont know its subaru is a stretch. But I mean these people dont even know what a "legacy" is. I was talking with a new WRX owner that I met at a gas station. pulled in was a REAL nice lookign Legacy GT, really slick looking ride. I was talking to the new WRX owner about it saying how I actually liked those cars more than the Impreza.

His comments were along the line of "Thank god I don't own an Impreza" and "thats a Subaru?"

.... some people just need to be slapped.

that guy must never open his trunk. or he's like some kids that
went behind my car one day.

kid 1: "what kind of car is that?"
kid 2: "it says...suh-burban."

hehe...

as for the original point in this thread, here's all i can offer
1) i agree that it was sometime in march. there's a thread in
off-topic, about who had the first GDA us impreza, and someone
in puerto rico think they may have had the first (which was in feb.)
2) impreza-rs.com still works, as someone else said. if you look
up the domain name "i-club.com" on network solutions web site
(or someone similar that registers urls), you can find when it was registered.
that might be close to what you are looking for.
3) i have no clue...

1) March 13 was the official launch date I believe

2) I also suggest looking this up at network solutions or waiting for Nick to reply

3) Do you mean when could people order them and know there really was going to be one. I figure right about when the WRX showed up at the L.A. Auto Show(It actually got there before people at NASIC could see it) which would have been the Jan 3rd I believe.
