This ain't no picnic!

Default How a 4 day weekend turned into a 5 day weekend or how I got rear ended yesterday. :(

this happened yesterday aboot 4:30 pm...minding my own bidness approaching traffic i come to a stop to let someone out in traffic...then it hear boom and get flung violently around in my seat...whiplashing neck and everything...not feeling any ill effects of the collision (yet)

his car got jacked (saturn sedan FTL)...my muffler got the worst of it as you can see...superficial damage to my bumper....license isnt looking great and the trunk is slightly pushed in but can still be opened...the muffler was dragging on the ground so it at the mechanics so he can tie it up so it wont drag on the ground

dont know the damage of the unseen areas like frame and who knows what else...the muffler snapped as you can hear a very loud exhaust...lets see if the insurance companies come through with no problems for me

That damage looks worse than superficial.

The taillight appears to have moved.

Tip: Don't be the nice guy letting people go ahead of you. Moron drivers aren't expecting this

That's a pretty sweet DTM exhaust tip you have on your car.

I don't think so. Look at the trunk gap.

his bumper is mashed under his light. You can see the plastic bubble. I'm sure the trunk etc is fine...its just mashed plastic.

Dear Penn State Troopers,

I just wanted to report reckless driving I witness on Wednesday afternoon. A blue Subaru (PA Plate DBM 2079) deliberately tryingto get other vehicles to rear-end it.

Sincerely,
Anonymous Concerned Citizen

Not that much damage... I'd go with a aluminum trunk now, along with a JDM rear bumper and beam and just replace/repaint that tail light housing piece.

I thought this was going to be a happy story of you taking an extra day for a rear ending, but then I saw the sad smiley and realized it wasn't going to be a good story. Then somehow a car got involved. Now I'm really confused.

Not too bad. At least the saturn driver will be footing the entire bill. You will prolly get a rental too on them...so no real inconvience in transportation.

My car will be going into the shop as well shortly for hail damage. Imagine how helpless you would feel getting caught in a hail storm while on the interstate...next exit is 30 miles away...with no overpass or cover in sight. Sigh.
