Default Shops for your Subie Needs

Well this was deleted and I would just like to keep this alive because I think that it is very helpful.

Thanks to tjwilke's idea of having a topic about having shops, tuners, and etc. I decided that I'd start this off. Hopefully, other people can add to this and revise it and make this a sticky!

Due to bad experiences from shops there are negative reviews that will be posted under the shops' names.

Don't put any prices in here.

And this thread isn't getting any respect until we can all agree that there are NOT two 'b's in Subie, Suby, Subey, Subaru, or any other variation. Subbie = Sub bee, not Soo bee. :monkey:

I had to edit some info out of the original post...basically any direct contact information (urls...phone #) for a business that isn't registered to advertise on this site. Names and whereabouts are cool.

I've been pushing to set some clear guidelines for threads like these, we need to have them, so all of you do me a favor and keep it on the straight and narrow

I understand the whole reason behind this (paid vendors etc....) but why no contact info?? SCIC does this with no problem? I just moved from Socal and the shops sticky is invaluable (I'm pretty sure that some on that list aren't paid vendors)?? again the no advertising prices I get....

I though this was going to be a good thread when I opened it. "Hey if I need part X for my subie here are some shops that might be able to help out". Nope its just a post of all the paid vendors. Here is a question (maybe more for the mods) if I get bad service (such as the couple cases of theft from the renton subie dealer) can I post about that? They probably aren't registered vendors... Just for the record I bought my car at Walkers in Renton so I am not complaining about them. And yes I do co-own a subie business

Did you read the first post and the rest of the thread...plenty of non-paying vendors being listed.

Any and all third party (that being key..) recommendations and reviews (be they good or bad) are welcome, just follow the guidelines laid out a few times in this thread and you won't run afoul.

Interesting... Honestly not sure how that gets by without your local vendors up in arms about the free advertising. Color me jealous a bit. What apparently works for the SCIC doesn't for the NWIC. In here we need to play to a specific set of rules to help keep the peace.
