Default new leg ?s

hi there! much like you all im a subaru nut! i come from the old school and have a 86 gl lifted wagon. soon i will be purcusing a 2005+ legacy gt. my question is, was there significant changes in the 2.5 in 2005? i know back when the 2.5 came out it was the dohc and it had hg problems then they went to sohc and that helped with the ishue. looks like the dohc is back with the turbo. any ideas if they fixed the problem? and have the 5eat improved at all? the ones in the 80s and 90s sucked and were "not in it for the long haul". plus has any one fixed the oil sending deal on there turbos on there own? wondering how hard that is. thanks for reading and POSTING!
