Default Finished Swap, Car won't start

I just finished my 05 sti swap into my 94 impreza wagon.

I have been done for a 2 weeks but keep running into problems.

The fuel pump wouldn't work, I figured it out, then I found out I needed the key with the same ecu and the immobilizer box.

I finally got everything connected, including the security sytem and when I go to the fourth click on the ignition(start) it does nothing other then drain power. I tried jumping it and when I turned the key to the start position it just sounded like it was draining the battery.

Anyone have any suggestions? I did soooo much searching over the last couple of days and I am desperate!

Is there a fuse for the starter???

Are you sure you have all the immobilizer related parts hooked up right?? Every part of the immobilizer has to be vehicle specific, meaning all of the parts need to come from the same car.....ECU, immobilizer and antenna(ring), key, and maybe even the original ignition switch. Not real sure about the switch though.

I had to dodge this problem with my swap due to missing immobilizer parts. I just used an 04 ecu and had ECS wire it like an 04. Everything's the same, except a few pinouts for the fuel pump and ignition(so thieves cant steal 05's with 04 ecu's). Hope this helps!

^^^ Wait wait wait... The antenna ring needs to be the same??? I found the ecu, immobilizer and key from the same car.

My battery is at full charge, and the clutch switch is engaged when I try to startup.

Not real sure about the antenna, but one definatley needs to be hooked up. I think the original STi key(if not using STi ignition) needs to be taped or mounted near the antenna ring.

Is everything else working, but it's just not cranking??

Yah, I have the origional key, imobilizer box, and ecu. I have the antenna from a different car.

It still doesn't make sense because what I have heard from people is the car will start but if it doesn't read a key then it will shut the car off in a few seconds.

Everything else works in the car except for the starter. Maybe the starter is bad??? I don't think so though just because it was working right before I put it in.

Thanks for the help to try and figure out my problem!

Try triggering the starter off the battery, I'm not sure about your other problems, but that will at least eliminate one possibility. Just make sure you have the car out of gear when you do it.

We looked very deep into the wiring manuals and determined exactly where it can be. The immobilzer system isn't tied into the starter anywhere.

I need to get a multimeter to do some power testing.

I also got a brand new battery and it does the same thing.

Thanks for all of you help guys! I will post once I figure out exactly what the problem is.
