Default Ordering subaru parts.. "right" vs "left"

Silly question:

I'm attempting to replace my ripped front passenger side fender lining but on subarugenuineparts.com they have it labeled as "sedan right" and "sedan left" ---

also.. is there any place cheaper to get OEM parts? I have a few clips, fasteners, etc.. I'd like to replace.

Left side and right side. I don't see where the confusion is?

perspective. Looking at the front of the car or looking from the rear. It doesnt help that the website shows the exact same illustration for both right and left.

i bought parts from http://www.courtesysubaru.com they are in rapid city south Dakota paid $20 bucks less for a knock sensor than from anywhere else I looked

R and L are ALWAYS with respect to a person sitting in the car facing forward.

This saves confusion when addressing LHD versus RHD markets where the terms 'driver' and 'passenger' are ambiguous.

parts sources always refer to the drivers left

as tho the driver was INSIDE of the car - as stated.

Yeah I just got done doing this myself, but I needed both sides so I didn't have to worry about which side I ordered, however I don't seem to have enough fasteners.

Thanks again for helping me with the parts Jamie!
