Default Tire recommendation

What would be the top four tires you would recommend for our 2006 Subaru Impreza Wagon?

Usage is normal driving on pavement (no off road or aggresive driving), just want a great performing tire for all (west coast) seasons. Little snow, lots of rain & dry conditions. Want the wife to be safe.

Stock tires are Bridgestone Potenza P205/55R16.

I'm in a similar boat... my current top 4 are:

Avon M550 (owned before in P275/40R17 and loved them)
Bridgestone RE960AS (Friend I know loves them)
BFGoodrich Traction T/A H-rated (these were great in snow on a FWD Protege)
Pirelli Pzero M&S - Top rated but snow worries me with this...

I'm likely going with the avon due to cost and because I know it had a 3-ply sidewall and cornered well and was quiet, and was able to even propel my camaro through ice/snow in an emergency without too much of a problem.

Bridgestone RE960's are supposed to be great when it's wet, and a decent dry performer. Better in snow compared to other tires in it's class of tire too.

A cheaper alternative could be the Kumho ASX; pretty much on par or a little bit worse than the best ultra-high performance all season tires.

Thanks for the replies.

Is anyone familiar with this particular Nokian tire?

Thanks again for the replies. After much research and consideration, I have decided on the Nokian WR tires:
