Default FS: E30 BMW in Mass

I'm selling my E30, This is mostly been a project car. I took this car from a buddy who had to clear some room in indiana, I had it shipped back here and started work, I repaired almost all of the body damage with the exception of a few small dings that I didn't even notice, I gave it a coat of fresh black paint, it does have some runs and orange peel as this was done in a garage with less than adequate equipment. The car has an IS rear lip, vehicle is a TMU but the odometer reads about 192k I believe, not the origional motor but motor is good. Has the older sports seats and wheel. This thing has a newer radiator, brand new low temp thermosdat, newer hoses, new slave cylinder, good clutch, new battery, new head gasket, Engine is not origional and is showing 160PSI across each cylinder (give or take 2 or 3psi) right now it also has a newer IS front valence with fogs and brake ducts. Has a brand new pioneer cd player with bazooka amp and 2 alpine type S subs with capacitor installed that can be negotiated, pioneer deck stays either way, haved rear trunk, shaved the antenna. Looking to get 1,000 OBO. Hit me up on aim (JvtecDrsxM) or email (B16bub@yahoo.com) or call sean at 508-335-9304, I'm located in worcester MA. Not the best pics but they're all I have, I do have multiple pics of almost all of the body work process.

The bad- reverse lights dont work (haven't looked into that at all), Needs wiper motor, Need temp gauge, gauge shoots up to overheat at idle but does not even boil the coolant.

Hmm, methinks if it has a "new slave cylinder" and a "good clutch" it might be a manual!

I'm more interested in the '69 Mustang next to it!

You mentioned the engine is not original, is it still an M42 or was it switched with maybe an s52?

I believe it is however I was under the impression that these cars came with the M20 or M40 I dunno. but yes, absolutely everything looks like it were the factory engine except for the dipstick tube that I saw that would run down to the auto tranny so thats how I know that.

You still haven't mentioned what year it is, the 84-85 318i had a M10 which is a turd, your car appears to be a 1991 which had a M42. Any chance you can snap a picture of the engine bay?

it's an M10 powered 318i
you can tell by the cosmoline (chrome) door and window trim and the smaller 2bar rear tail lamps and the rear fenderwell cutlines

The front end is from a 1988 325 (metal bumper, later air dam)

I used to write revisions for the Bentley e30 manual.
I know E30s better than I know my wife.

yeah, and don't let the M10 scare you off
First off: the 84 318i is the LIGHTEST E30 you can buy. (just about 2400lbs)
secondly, it's easily changeable to carburetters (twin DHLA or DCOEs) with some fuel pump changes. (lower the CIS pressure to around 8psi)
Third, a cammed, carbed 318i with a 2.0 or 2.2L bottom end will SCREAM

the ONLY issue is that being an 84, it has to pass emissions... shame it's not an 83.

But a 2.2L cammed out carburetted E30 is something to see.
All the fury of a 2002 with all the handling of an e30 (which you could upgrade most of the e30 bits with M3 bits.) particularly upgrade the brakes.

It's highly enjoyable.
