OMGHi2U Got caught singing in the car this morning

I'm driving my way into work this morning and it's a great day. Sunny, not too hot (yet), a short work week, getting a pedicure tonight with a friend and having lunch with my awesome husband. Things could be worse, right?

I'm also rocking out to Queen in the Porsche. (Yes, I see the irony.) The A/C in the car sucks, so I usually just roll the windows down, open the sunroof and go. I get to downtown and near my office. At this point, I'm enjoying the last 30 seconds of Somebody to Love. So much so, I decide to chime in.

Anybody, anywhere, anybody find me somebody to love love love!
Wooo somebody find meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee somebody tooooooooooooooooooooooo loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove love love!

I'm pretty much singing along with Freddie, when I hit a red light, and the song ends. At which point, the 4 people in the car next to me begin wildly applauding and laughing.

I felt like a moron.

fin.

I usually put my cell phone up to my ear then start screaming at it like I was talking hands free the whole time.

What, you didn't take a bow?

At least it wasn't "Bohemian Rhapsody": that's too played out. "Fat Bottomed Girls" would've been funnier.

Pretty blonde girl singing her heart out while behind the wheel of a Porsche?

I'm going to say they were laughing WITH you, not at you.

Well at least the people in the next car didn't taunt you and throw things.

If it makes you feel any better, I was singing (if you want to call it that) on the drive in today too. Sinatra though, not Queen.

I was singing along to the Ramones on the radio in a long distant past on my way in to work on the highway, "That's what I like about you..." As I came to the last part of that line, I turned my head to look at the car next to me (still singing) and the girls in the car next to me were singing the same song... the one in the passenger seat turned her head to me at the same time singing the same line.

CN: It was funny.

Did it sound anything like your rendition of the OT version of Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer?

Did you pull a groin muscle and rip off your big toenail while you were singing?

At least you had music. I used to drive a car with no stereo and would sing to myself while sitting in traffic. That got some looks.

It could be worse. I busted someone singing a Tears for Fears song one night not too long ago.

P.S. That's poetry ( | )-9.

I did a crappy stereo installation in a little speedboat once. It would pick up engine noise/interference through the speakers. Well, I decided to have some fun with it, and crank up the volume to the max.

It got some damn funny looks cruising through no wake zones.

When that happens to me, I always make a point to over exaggerate once I know they're watching me. You've gotta have fun with it! Its especially fun when I have a passanger.

Maybe they were just trying to shout and let it all out?
