Default Hello. I'm new.

Hi, My name is Scott.

I have always been a BMW person, M3 to be specific, but recently I made the switch to an 05 STI (It fits my current life a bit better) with only 22k on it.

And thought I would include my last two cars:

BMW e36 M3

BMW e30 M3

I got to say it was a big deal for me to make the switch but I can't tell you how happy I am with this car (clearly you all already know what I'm talking about) The STI is as close to the spirit and soul of an e30 M3 in my mind. It's far surpassing my expectations.

The camaraderie between STI owners out on the road is awesome, that doesn't exist as much in the BMW community. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself.

- Scott

Welcome Scott,

I am a former e30 m3 owner as well. Your pictures look very familiar, what forums did you post on (r3v, s14, bimmer)?

Sold the e30 a long time ago, it's owned by a gentlemen in Mississippi now.

I have been on DTMPower since 03 and have owned a few e30's but have never stepped out of that realm.

Welcome aboard man!

I knew i have seen that e30 M3 (the real m3 ) elsewhere and it now rings a bell being in Mississippi. I got sick of bimmerforums and just hung around r3vlimited.

Yep, pretty much as close to a light weight as possible (just needed the cloth interior). Really low miles on it too.

I actually ended up selling it to a man in Colorado who turned it into a track car (his second e36 m3) It ended up financing my trip cross country.

Thanks guys, i'm really happy with the purchase - still learning the ends and outs of it though.

- Got rid of the stickers, added the V-Limited front lip last weekend... detailed it a bunch? I'm really trying to get myself not to do too much, probably just some suspension... would love to get rid of the wing...

but I think I'm going to wait a while and let myself adjust to it and then see where to go from there... whatever I will do, its got to be clean.
