Default Seeking Input: Bad noise after clutch install

I had an ACT street clutck kit and streetlite flywheel installed by a Subaru tech last weekend. I am hearing the 'normal' sounds of a new clutch (some rattling while coasting in gear) and have some chatter (only have 100 miles on the new clutch). I have been driving with break-in in mind and have been very easy on the clutch. I started noticing a thumping noise coming from the rear end when making turns in 2nd gear under partial throttle. Similar to what I'd expect the 04 and 05 strut clunk to sound like. Not sure if this plays into the bigger problem but thought it was worth mentioning. The bigger issue is that when I apply partial throttle, let off the gas, then partials throttle again it sounded like the transmission was coming apart. Directly under the console was a thump you could feel and the noise sounded like heavy, loose plates hitting each other. Outside of this, the car starts, up shifts, down shifts and stops fine. One thought is the tranny mount but I'd expect noticeable noises when shifting (???).

I'm taking the car back to the guy that installed the clutch. He took the car for a drive after the install and put it on the lift after that drive to check for loose things. I do NOT want to reproduce this sound again. It can't be good. I am looking for input from someone with experience as to what this could be. Clutch plate and pressure plate were torqued to the OEM Subaru spec. The obvious is that something has come loose but that seems unlikely...could this be something else?

Thanks for your input, Chris

Just thinking out loud.

Have you jacked it up to check everything yourself?

As you said check trans mount points, driveshaft connection points.
Possibly the carrier bearing mount for the driveshaft??????????

I really don't know if it's only appearing in one specific condition.

Make sure the pitch stop mount is tight.

Hmmm, after looking at the diagram of what this does it certainly looks like a possibility. Thanks for the pointer. That'll be the first thing to look at.
