Default Will an STi fit in my garage? (Need measurement of rear wing)

While cleaning the garage today..I noticed a little snag I'd have if I bought an STi this summer.

The Architect who designed my garage designed it for TINY cars...In order for me to get out/have it remotely convenient for me, I have to back it in. In order for my dad to get inside after he parks his Tacoma in the other bay, I have to back my car in, under the closet, so there's walking room between the front bumper and garage door. Otherwise, he'd have to open my garage to get from his truck to the door (or he can jump over my car).

I need to know if the STi's wing would fit under here. I need a measurement of a stock height car, from the ground to the top of the spoiler.

Here are pics of what Im talking about.

The last thing I want is to buy a brand new $33000 car and have it sit outside all the time and have an empty garage.

If I pull in forward, I pretty much cant get out. There are support poles supporting the house in the way.

so your garage is going to determine whether or not you get an STi? not anything else such as saving money so you don't have to live with your dad, etc?

Quit following me around and trying to start ****. You dont know the reason why I live at home.

No, the determining factor will not come down to the garage. But the garage will tip the scales when I compare the cars on my list.

Really? Out of EVERYTHING in this life. the last thing you want to do is park your car outside?

I thought I had priority issues.

But in honesty, I'd say wingless trunk FTW.

To actually answer your question i'm 99.9% sure a stock STI will not fit under your closet. Mines lowered and I know it's taller than you car now!!

It sounds like your dad's garage was designed by some "Architect" who used to design shanties in Calcutta.

IMO... use the wing off an RS
<--- don't like the big wings, but wingless is a bit much , moderation is a good thing

just another thought.... Will your Dad's truck fit under there? Worth a shot..... I mean for an STI!!

If you can afford an STi, then you can afford to move out of your parents' basement.

I think he tells his friends that it's his parents who live in the basement, judging from "Will an STi fit in my garage?"

And this surprises you? Typical Nabisco court jesters.

Just by looking at the pics you provided the wing will not fit. Hopefully you can work something out, if the closet isn't a structual issue then remove it. I'd hate to see that stop you from getting a STI. Best of luck.

Somehow I think if it was HIS garage he'd get the good parking spot. Either way, sometimes there are extenuating circumstances, like sick parents etc. If I was him I'd buy the STi too and quit listening to the haters. In 100 years we'll both be dead anyways, and you can say you had more fun.

Ive had haters every time Ive asked questions regarding the process. Nothing is going to stop me except myself. These people dont understand my situation, what I just went through and why I ended up back at home, yet they open their traps.

As for swapping, the Tacoma dosent fit in this side. Its too damn big.

I like the wing. Call me a ricer. Go ahead. I dont care.

Cutting the closet..well, if you look closely, we've already cut it. The 2x8s that were holding it up are now 2x3s more or less. In order to get mor eroom, I'd have to rip out the entire floor, and raise it a foot or so. Its a lot of work, but it might end up happening. Although..IDK how the floor is being supported right now..
