Default dirty oil

My Impreza is brand spankin new with 1000 miles on it. I took a look at the dipstick and the oil is pretty dirty, but doesn't smell burnt or anything.

Asked the dealership and they said don't worry about it, it's just additives they put in at the factory... just change the oil when the time comes. I think i'll call service anyways. Any cause for concern here?

Nope, no cause for concern. The oil might look dirty, but it still performs its job.
