hydra and obd2
Now of course I know that the Hydra will not pass an obd2 emissions test, but can you do any diagnostics through the obd2 port? In particular I wanted to look at the cooling fan relays and the ABS system.

Cooling fans are controlled by the hydra, so that is a definite no in that regard.
Whether or not you can communicate to the other OBDII computers in the car, I would probably say no, but I am not positive as I have not tried it. It is not really a big deal to swap back to the stock ECU if you need to hook up an OBDII scanner to diagnose something, it probably takes 20 minutes. |

Where are the cooling fans controlled in the Hydra? I couldn't find it.

For an STi, Settings->Outputs->PWM 13 controls the fans.
For a WRX it is probably a different output. |

The OBD 2 will not read as it's part of the OEM ecu so you just won't be able to connect. The WRX also uses output 13 for fan control but the secondary fan is also controlled via the AC control.
