How about given your subie a stiffy by the way of RPM's Harness Bar

RPM (Random Performance Motorsports) Has been busy. RPM's been out building and track testing. With all their devlopment done. These are now being made for the race track use in your car.

These harness bars are made out of 100% chromemoly and the mount points are the child safety and stock rear belt locations. You can use the stock belts with harness bar installed. Big plus for street driving!
These give add stability to the rear of the car, Great for auto crossers, Or track days

these are great bars. takes away the problem of taller people not being able to use a harness bar(sparco etc), because they can't get the seat back far enough. and still gives passenger room in the back.

I just heard back from RPM,

They state you can use the stock rear seatbelts with this harness bar.

i don't know if they've worked on a wagon one yet, but we did confirm that it is too wide to fit in the wagon. i'll gladly let them borrow my wagon, if they decide to do one.
