Instructions are in the manual that came with your car. They'll provide details there.

However, it took me like 5 minutes to get them both off. With your fingers (first) grab onto the bottom of the sidemarkers and gently lift up toward the hood then gently pull the bottom out. If your fingers are too big you may need to user a screwdriver WRAPPED with a towel to do it. You should be able to do it with your fingers though.

When you have the unit out simply turn the socket with the wires coming out counterclockwise and the bulb and socket should simply pull out.

Do everything in reverse to get it back in. I replaced the clear bulb with a orange one from my local auto parts store for about $4. They are bulb number #194NA.

Good luck!

Do I need to replace the factory white bulb with an orange bulb? Is it legal to do it as justa white bulb?

I noticed that some cars like VWs use clear side markers that blink white and not orange.

Side markers are not required in the US so I don't think it will matter if they blink orange or white.

I'm not sure on the legality issue but you'll want to but the orange bulb in.

I ran mine with the white lights for a day and those little lights are pretty bright. I put the orange ones in just to be courteous to other drivers.

I don't know how little side markers would boter other drivers all that much. They are so small and they are on the side of your car.

I need to know if it is leagal to have a white bulb in your side markers in the state of PA.

Also the side markers do not blink. YOu will notice they only come on when the lights are on and they stay on all the time they do not blink with the turn signal.

I put orange bulbs in my sidemaker for two major reasons.

1) Not to draw more attention from the law especially at night. They are kinda bright with the stock white bulb. Uncertain regarding the law as it pertains to the sidemakers, I play it safe and put the orange bulb in.

2) Not to draw more attention from the young punk kids around my neighboorhood (especially at night). Against my better judgement, I bought a set of the white sidemarkers even after having heard that some Bay Area drivers have had their white sidemakers jacked.

Glad I kept my originals with the white bulbs just in case. :monkey:

I bought mine from Revolution Motorsports for $62. Click here It's an old thread but they might still have them for that price.

I've got the grey-backed clear STi corners they match my Silver paint perfectly! And I'm running them with an orange bulb BUT you can't see any orange during the day when the bulb isn't lit!
