Default Transmission Temp gauge not reading?

Hi guys, I just installed an Autometer Transmission temp gauge on my car.. I followed the pics on projectwrx.com, but my problem is the gauge doesn't seem to be working. When i turn on my car, the needle moves to just below 100*, then it just stays there and doesnt move.... I drove over an hour and it just stayed at the same spot... I used a "t" off of the rubber line just like on the instructions and i also clamped a ground wire from the "t" to the car... Anyone have any ideas of what is wrong? Thanks.
