Default What to do with 93 Legacy Wagon L FWD

Well I just picked up a 93 Legacy Wagon I won on ebay for 305 bucks with the intention of running it as a rallycross car instead of my 02 wrx. Let me mention the car runs real strong despite the 195,000 miles that are on it and its a manual with some rust on fenders and trunk. Now the Next Rally sounds like it won't be as rough as the last one where we were digging up rocks as big as footballs, so I am probably going to run it again in the wrx. and the next one after that isn't till mid aug I hesitate on using the Wagon only because of the whole reg and additional 100+ dollars a month to insure it and the lack of towing access. So what do i do, partout, pull and rebuild the 2.2 for an eventual 2.2 wrx swap, sell it running in one piece, drive it illegally to the race, suck up the insurance. As you can see I need some ideas please help!

Why not just go ahead and insure/tag it and use it as a DD?

I'm personally not big on rallying 2WD cars. I think it's harder to do, because you have to be more proficient with the handbrake.

What do you mean by 2.2 WRX swap?

Demolition derby'ing a Subaru makes baby Jesus cry.

Oh, and bbs.legacycentral.org.

Default I own a wrx 02

I have a 02 wrx with 85,000 miles on it, I figure pull the 2.2 out of the legacy build it up at some point in the next few years and put it in the wrx if possible or reasonable.

The reason I post here is that I am a member and there are a lot more people on these forums.

Default also

Also I think the challenge of rallying a fwd car would be fun the only reason I don't jump right into it is that I've only participated in one rally and would like more time behind the wheel of my stage 2 before switching over to the FWD.

Ouch! We still have a 95 Legacy and the extra insurance is more like 350 a year (if that). Of course there is no collision or comp. on it ...
