Unhappy Trying to start the car

OK, we got everything finally back together last night and go to start the car. Load up the Hydra and see Phil has a base map in the Hydra for me already. Cool. Went in, did the TPS and Wideband calibration. Turned off PWM 2 and 3 as Phil requested because I don't have AVCS now. And finally changed the Injector load response to 16 ohms as i'm using WRX high impedence injectors.

Everything seems normal. Fuel pump primes and we are off. Crank the car....nothing. Crank some more....nothing. Not a pop, not a backfire.....nothing.

Pulled the plugs out and they looked brand new...no fuel on them at all. So now we know that the injectors aren't firing. So what's the deal??

When I'm cranking, the stuff on the left of the Hydra screen is showing the Hydra outputting like 4ms of fuel....but no way am I getting that.

Mod List:
Wiseco Pistons
Carrillo Rods
OEM Main Bearings
Clevitte Rod Bearings
Axis Racing P&P Heads
1mm oversized valves and dual valve springs
Big Kelford non-AVCS cams
35R with all the other BS to go with it
Dual Walbros
Deatcheworks (sp?) 1150cc injectors
Perrin Fuel Rails

I put an email in to Phil last night. Hopefully I'll get a chance to talk with him today.

I don't think 4ms is enough to get the motor to start... While cranking, I usually see 10-13ms. With your injectors, I would think that you would want to see at least 8-10ms.

He's running 1000cc injectors so 4 ms is likely enough. Always check battery voltage first and if 10v or less, charge it up, and then if still not successful run the crank trigger test to make sure the cam and crank are reading properly.

I've been on the dyno for the last couple days but I'm glad you got it running on your own.

Thanks,
Phil
